Walking Around Bucktown

The sun´s beating down on Bucktown

and I have no clue how to edit the story

the head starts beating a rhythm starts spinning a prism

got to control the refraction and hit the shade

the guy on the corner cuts the edge and vanishes

Holstein Park is empty and desolate and

the sun´s beating down on Bucktown

By the time this walk is done we´ll meet again

maybe the muse is back from brake and I´ll have

the rhythm back in the bone back in the soul

and the brightness is blinding yet clearer I see

we are closing in right on time for the feast and

the sun´s beating down on Bucktown

St Mary of the Angels, a Polish Catholic church.

The beer for Chicago. Even though the brewery was acquired by Anheuser-Busch in 2011

the beer has stayed true to its roots. It´s good. The contraption to the left

is a public telephone, they´re getting scarce.

I have a vast collection of pictures depicting utility poles.

The raw and vulnerable form of infrastructure is fascinating.

The Ranch.

Small scale industrial architecture of a bygone era.

A weird perspective: a parking space/concrete yard, another fine example of

raw utility infrastructure and the backs of houses from the next parallel street.

Compared to Berlin, there are not a lot of murals/graffitis/street art pics

in the inner parts of the city.

You know, the utility thing...
