Interiors in DC

More than five years after we moved away from Washington, we returned for a short visit. It was good to be back, not only did we appreciate the high quality of living in retrospective view, but here we saw and felt this quality again. I moved around town with a rental bike and found myself in buildings more often than I had planned. Originally I wanted to spend most of the time outdoors, but then the new and unseen lured me. Things and places that were new for me, that I hadn´t visited in my previous years in D.C. such as some museums, public libraries and historic places. That´s how I ended up taking pictures of interiors, and, going through these, I found that my view and perspective of interior spaces had changed. Maybe it´s because my eye has been trained to see things more from an architectural point of view ever since I moved to Chicago. Here are some samples.
