Calumet - Keweenaw
Enter: a young guy with a clean shave and a chiselled lower jaw bone, wearing a duster and a stetson. He pauses, glances around distrustful and raises his head towards the sun. With a trained offhandedness he digs deep into the right pocket of the duster, gets out a stick of licorice, bites off a bit, and starts walking towards the north end of town.
Enter: a petite and sturdy middle-aged woman with fair skin and deep-red made up lips, her hair bundled into a knot on the upper back of her head, wearing a long velvet dress of a deep royal blue and bright red shoes with medium sized heels. With seeming ease she carries a viola da gamba and a bow in her left hand and self-assuredly starts walking towards the chair placed in the center of town-square.
Enter: an older guy with a greyish shadow around his chin and crow´s feet around weary, yet concentrated eyes, wearing a duster and a stetson. He pauses, glances around shortly and raises his head towards the sun. With a relaxed offhandedness he digs deep into the left pocket of the duster, gets out a piece of chewing tobacco, bites off a bit, throws the rest away and starts walking towards the south end of town.
The clean, crisp air is filled with a soft Marin Marais and carries away all evil. The young and the older guy look at the ground dumbfoundedly as if looking for something, a small bit of their manly everyday attire or a half dollar that may have slipped through the hole in the trouser. But it was just a load of bad attitude that was kicked out of their body case by a cleansed soul.
Clasping her instrument, the woman transcended into the music she played as if riding an eternal wave.
