Focus Photography: Addition to Congressional Cemetery

In addition to the recent blogpost about Congressional Cemetery, I´d like to post these two pictures to show the difficulty of making photographic decisions about certain subjects. When I´m on an assignment I already have a certain visualization or perception of the presumable results, which means, I first decide which lenses to use and wether I´ll make B/W or colour pictures before starting. But sometimes it´s really not clear which option would be best, or all of a sudden I get an unexpected subject which forces me to change the concept. The strong colour contrast created by the roses in this example is a classic. But luckily in the age of digital photography this is not really a dilemma, it´s not having two different cameras with two different films, but just a push of a button. Still, in order not to get lost in the vast amounts of possibilities that modern technology provides us with, it´s quite important to keep a straight line in ones ideas.
